Lindsey Griffard

Lindsey Griffard, a Quincy, Illinois native, began dancing in the aisles of grocery stores at the age of two. Soon after she was enrolled in dance classes and has been dancing ever since,. Lindsey continued to study dance in college at Western Illinois University and received her Bachelors in Kinesiology accompanied with a minor in dance in May 2007. While at Western Illinois, Lindsey was a member of the University Dance Theatre. In 2006, under the direction of Heidi Clemmens, "Dancing on Thin Quicksand" won a national title at the American College Dance festival and was performed in Washington, DC at the Kennedy Performing Arts Center. That summer Lindsey also attended an American Dance Festival six-week summer intensive program, in Durham North Carolina. Since moving to Kansas City in 2007, Lindsey was introduced to Kacico as a guest performer and then joined the company for their 2008-9 season. Today, Lindsey shares her passion for dance as a teacher at the Academy of the Arts.
