Elizabeth Pierce

Dance Instructor

Elizabeth Pierce has been an instructor and choreographer at The Academy of the Arts for four years.  She trained at The Academy of Dance in Newport News, VA and danced with the studio's award winning competitive company for ten years.  Elizabeth is a soon to be graduate of the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at the University of Kansas Medical Center.  She graduated from The College of William and Mary in 2008 and taught and choreographed for the college’s tap focused club Rhythm and Taps.  She taught at the Institute for Dance in Williamsburg, VA for seven years and while there she choreographed for the annual Christmas show as well as for the studio’s many community programs.  She also choreographed an award-winning dance for the studio’s competition team, The Movement.  Her choreography has been featured in high school musical productions of Godspell, The Wizard of Oz, and A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum as well as the junior theater productions of Beauty and the Beast, Jr and The Little Mermaid, Jr.  Her work at the Academy of the Arts includes teaching classes in multiple disciplines and choreographing for the competition team as well as the annual production of Nutcracker, All Jazz’d Up!
